i had posted one a couple hours ago, but idk how to add to it. so i said i want a tattoo on my upper arm about medium size. i wanted a rose, but the colors and meanings don't go with the reason i want it. they all stand for like joy and happiness and romantic love. i want a tattoo which stands for my mother and i have no idea what to get. i don't want to get just her name, but a symbol of her love for me. please help me out! and please don't write things such as "just don't get one" ... your wasting my time and yours and it's annoying. regardless, i'm still going to do what i want!

my mo past away so im getting a tattoo in rememberance of her. I couldnt decide either, but after 3 months of thinking, i decided just to get the Chinese Symbol for "Mother" you could get that with a rose weaving in and out of the openings of it...or a rose just next to it. Wanna see what my tattoo is gonna look like? heres the site:

First of all calm down.

It looks like you are quite certain and determined to get a tattoo, regardless...Indeed a rose may not be the most ideal tattoo that you are looking for. Perhaps you can get a portrait of your mom. Have you tried asking for her opinion? What would she like to have on you?

I have some free materials which you may need. check the link below while it is still available.

well seeing as you know what you want in a tattoo get some tattoo magazines and sketch some ideas down then take them to a tattoo artist and they should help you perfect what you truly want to represent your mother. I am talking from personal experience as i have many times drawn down what i want then spoken to the artist then perfected the design and got the tattoo done. well good luck with your choices

I'm having this problem at the moment. My Mum was killed 10 years ago and I want to sum her up in a tattoo. Is there something that means something to you and your Mum? Song lyrics, A place? You can have a rose in any colour you want chick, so don't rule that out x

Something with meaning huh? Well how can a load of strangers give you ideas that are meaningful to you? Only you can decide what is meaningful, to some people their butterfly tattoos are deeply meaningful, it's just not your taste, that's all. Sorry but this is something you have to research and decide for yourself.

well, all I was going to read was the heading question-of which my answer,-" I went to delaware, and all I got was this lousy tattoo."

a tattoo that you love your mum...... a tattoo of a women holding a baby.. this could mean more in the future.. drawing style of a simple outline and light shading. something simple and elegant..

I think you have a wonderful idea going with the rose and thinking about your Mother to go with.
The link below shows pics of two roses one red one blue ....it is a nice med size and should fit nicely on your arm .

Hope this helps... I know it takes time to find a new pc of art to go with what you have been dreaming about.

Best of Luck

What's her favorite flower? (If she's still alive, let her choose it)
