Easy, God heard them, and answered.
I commend the government for standing up to their beliefs, and praying!
Pray never hurt anyone.
There is nothing wrong with talking with Our Lord.
And the bible says alot about prayer.

1. A little rain does not end a drought.
2. Even in drought, it can rain; it just doesn't rain enough.
3. People have been praying for a long time. The fact that it did rain does not mean that prayer caused it.
4. A true miracle would have a single rain shower and suddenly fruit and crops are back, lawns green, wells and lakes full, etc. What really happened is that in the midst of a drought, some rain came. Things are not back to normal in Georgia.

How do you explain that the governor didn't resort to prayer until AFTER rain was forecast, and that the rain that fell was LESS than was forecast, and not enough to make a difference except to lawns.

Don't you think it could just as well have rained if they didn't pray? Or if native americans did a rain dance? Or a Buddhists chanted? If it hadn't rained would you stop believing in prayer being effective? I am really glad they got rain they needed.

Well, water droplets formed in the air, grew heavier and fell to Earth. That's how rain works.
Droughts don't go on forever, you know. You might as well say that the reason the sun came up every morning was because the Aztecs sacrificed hundreds of people to it.

As a Christian, I'd love to think that prayer accounts for it. Unfortunately, the rain was predicted by weather TV before the prayer. Oh, well.

It must be from the prayer. Because we all know that without the prayer, it NEVER would have rained in Georgia EVER, for all eternity.

It was in the forecast before the silly prayer. A church got damaged and children hurt by the storm that passed through. If it was an answer to those "prayers", they certainly have a mean 'god'.

hi sparkles-i am wondering how do we explain the inadequate portion of rain that did nothing to relieve the drought after all the prayers-no god maybe--smile and enjoy the day
