Would you try and fight a losing cause and try to compete with the DEI equipment?
or
When they said gentlemen start your engines then floar the gas pedal, blow the engine up, and take the day off?
Me personally I am a Jr fan but I think I would take the day off.

I'd floor the gas and drink beer and eat tacos.

While I'm sure that Dale Jr. will just do as he's done, get in the car, try to win, and be disappointed when his equipment fails...
If I were in his shoes, I'd do much the same thing, UNTIL the after race interview. Then amid the usual sponsor thank-yous, and so on, I'd drop in a little something like.." Now that my tenure under Teresa Earnhardt is over, I'm looking forward to going to a team where winning is the priority. I'm disappointed that I couldn't make things work with my father's company, but now that it's no longer HIS company, the priorities are no longer the same, therefore, I'm going to a company that shares the values that once drove my father to 7 nascar championships. Good bye Teresa, Good Bye DEI... I'm going to go where I can win."

Yeah it would be fun to take the day off and drink beer and eat tacos but it still comes down to pride. You don't think Kyle Busch wants to leave HMS with a victory and stick to Rick Hendrick ? After all Junior is taking his ride at HMS next year. JJ Yeley is running his last race for Gibbs only to be replace by Kyle. Doesn't he want to win? I think he will try to get pne more win at DEI before he leaves.

Guess that's ONE reason you're not at Homestead racing this weekend.
I'm not Jr. but given the opportunity he has, I would run the race the best I could with the equipment I was given, do everything possible to try to be in position toward the end of the race, and finish as strong as my ride would allow me.

Junior doesn't have to try and trash the equipment, seems it has unraveled just fine on its own, that is why he has had such a miserable season.
Of course whith such a bad season, next year is sure to be a huge improvement, and old Tony his crew chief is either gonna step up or out cause he has been a big part of Juniors problems.

Jr has his dad's attitude, he's a racer to the end. He will give it his best shot and we will all hope that his equipment is good enough to get him there. It's been a great ride in the 8 car, and will be even greater in the 88!

As in the movie "Stroker Ace" I would do my best to cross the finish line upside down. If you can't win, be spectacular!! That's my motto. Hitting the pace car would be a little funny also. Not hard, just a little bit.

I would get in the car, start out onto the track and going at about 35mph make a right hand turn. That would be the best thing for that DEI piece of crap. You can't even back out of the garage without it breaking.
