Your quotation should be: "Voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir?"

The literal translation is:

Will you sleep with me tonight?

Which of course means you won't be awake doing anything, as it makes no mention of anything else, and certainly NOT sex!

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi (ce soir)? is a version of a French phrase that has become well-known in the English-speaking world through popular songs. It means "Do you want to sleep with me (tonight)?"

This question comes back in average each fortnight -

A kind of non-sense phrase whis has been going around the world for decades, long before it was readapted by those lady-singers - song which was not bad in the 75's -

As a french I find this sentence ridiculous, just like people when you're abroad saying " oooh you're french 69 ! 69 !
so funny o(:o((( "

Voulez vous coucher avec moi means clearly do you want to go to bed with me in order to take part to the world rate of birth (if you're awkward ) - but believe me that sentence is a kind of french myth concerning all possible jerks except french - because this kind of sentence women never use - and men, who know women, never - that kind of sentence is the one way ticket to your bed , ALONE -

Yes, it is French. "Voulez-vous vous chez avec moi" means "Do you want you at with me." Check the song again, I highly doubt that's what it says...
