Pollen grains are microscopic usually about 15 to 100 microns and just a pinch of pollen powder contains thousands and thousands of grains. These pollen are male gametes (sperm cells) of seed plants contained in the anther of an angiosperm flower, male cone of a coniferous plant, or male cone of other seed plants. When pollination occurs pollen grains collect on a stigma in the flowers of angiosperms and a micropyle in gymnosperms.
