If there is such an agency, there will be no bankruptcy in America, no foreclosures and no one will have any debt at all. Credit cards will be happy, everyone will have 0% interest rates because risk is non existent as the government will just pay off people's credit card debts.

Of course it is NOT TRUE.

If you are thinking of government grants, the government is NOT in the business of giving away free money for the sake of giving away money. There are no grants for paying bills, no grants for paying off credit cards, no grants for getting out of debt and no grants for simply fattening your wallet.

Grants are free, but it means OBLIGATION. You will be obligated to do as the grant sets out to do. Grants have objectives, and your purpose must fit the objective of the grant.

You can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the CFDA listings and you will find that there's ABSOLUTELY NO GRANTS to pay off consumer credit card debt.

The first answer that you got was right....the financial advisor type, but only little bit right. what the govrenment have is 17 billion dollar private donations that comes from companies, the rich and famous, ect. These wonderful individuals do this not just cause they wanna help the little people, but to use it as a tax writeoff.....on average on every 100,000 dollars that you leave in the bank, you make back 1000 in interest per year.lol. So all thery're doing is giving you money that they don't even miss. So you got all this money that the govies are just sitting on, that they are making money off of someone else's money now, and they got to give some back. So that is when the word "GRANTS" comes into play. I don't have the exact website for the info at this moment, but I'll will get it , and post it very soon. You sound like a spry individual, being that you obviously have internet access, you punch in a few key words, something is bound to pop up. Sometimes people give good info, but it takes a little bit more to find out great info.... you gotta do your own research. Semper Fi

None. Credit card debt is managed by the person who incurred the debt in the first place. If you're looking for some sort of handout to cover your credit card debt, it's not there.

Any government agency will help you pay your credit card, so long as you work for them.

As far as that goes, any business in America will help you pay your credit card debt.

It's a simple 3 step plan
1. Work
2. get paid
3. pay your debt

If you ever find one please let me know. This would benefit a lot of people, but I sincerely doubt the Government will ever help people pay off credit cards.
