I'm wondering about pouring the syrup.

You can bake "almost" any cake batter in muffin pans.
(aka cupcake pans).
I would use the Turkey/Chicken Pasting syringe to apply the syrup. It will give you great control, and limits the amount you wish to apply.

PS...I also suggest that you line the muffin pans with paper liners, it will help keep the muffins in tack (all that extra moisture from the syrup, and clean up is easier.)

You raised my curiosity level!

The only suggestion I can offer: Do it!

If the syrup doesn't pour the way you want it to pour, or the way you expected it to pour, you could use an ice cream scoop, spoon or a small ladle, couldn't you?

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

No... but I think it's a great idea! Just brush the syrup on w/ a basting brush, so you get all sides....

Sounds really good to me!
