Jimmie isn't cheating. Drivers rarely know the details of what went into their car. They go to appearances and other things all week long while the team is taking care of getting the car ready.
Chad could be. He has been caught repeatedly for cheating throughout his career as a crew chief. He is known to push the limits of the rules until NASCAR says he went too far. In NASCAR if you aren't cheating you aren't trying and its only cheating if you get caught.
Both are at or near the top in NASCAR. Obviously combined that's going to make one hell of a team. Add in a good pit crew and you have a team that wins many races a year and runs for championships.

I don't think Jimmy is Cheating. Look at the history of NASCAR, people didn't like Dale Sr. when he was dominating the sport, same for Jeff Gordon when he won 13 races in a season. All of these great drivers had one thing in common.....a Great crew chief.....If Chad Knaus was removed for any given amount of time Jimmy wouldn't be as dominant as he has been in the last few races.....I know that Knaus was suspended when Johnson won the Daytona 500 and two other races.....But by the time he was suspended the cars had already been set up...Kind of like the Dallas Cowboys under Barry Switzer, he came in after Jimmy Johnson (NR) and took the credit for getting the Cowboys to the Super Bowl when in reality a trained monkey could have coached the team that Johnson had assembled.

well my guess is his crew chief has been caught every year for trying to push the rules and maybe he has something that they can't figure out yet.
I am not a fan of his but hey this has been going on even back when NA$CAR was fun to watch. This is one of the things they are suppose to do is take each rule to the limit to help his or her team. Things really got fun when Gary Newman became the chief inspector of NA$CAR and he was at the time one of the best a cheating.

All the people who accuse Jimmie of cheating are just jealous and hateful. They can't even love the sport just for what it is, a competition, because if it's not their driver that's winning, then everyone else must be cheating. LOOOOOSERS!

While it's true what others have said, anytime a guy wins as much as Johnson does, there's always someone who will scream "cheat!", the Lowes team HAS been caught, and fined for cheating. Remember Daytona? Chad Knaus had to spend what, 5 races away from the track?

If you would remember, either you liked Dale Sr. or you didn't and either you like Jeff Gordon or you don't. Most people don't personally know the drivers, but can say really bad things about them. Most people pass judgement because the racers are WINNING. I personally am a Jeff Gordon fan and am really getting into the chase right now. I admire all the racers, because how many of YOU that whine about who's winning, can race like any of them?

Everyone tends to think Hendrick is cheating because they're so good all the time, and coincidentally they tend to get penalized a bit more than the other teams. I think every team cheats, Hendrick just gets caught more, probably because they're so good that Nascar penalizes them to create a bit more drama.

It's kind of like ancient times when there used to be some calamity. It wasn't a natural phenomenon, it was some god being pissed because his wine tasted bad.
Same deal here, the driver can't be that good, he HAS to be cheating.

Same as when Dale Sr was winning, saying he was a dirty driver. Everyone loves to pick on a winner.
