In Photoshop.

Create a new layer. Select All. Go to Edit and choose Stroke.
Select Black as your color and set the size to 250 (that's the largest Stroke you can make).

Hit OK. If the border is too thick, change the size until you get what you want.

Here's how I created such a border after colorizing a black & white.

Go to the bottom of that page to click through to the Borders tutorial.

On these I actually did two Strokes. The first was white at about 200. the second was black, at 185. This creates the effect of a carved matte.

usually it's done in Photoshop or a similar type of photo editing software. I don't personally know of any cameras that will do it, but that doesn't mean there isn't one out there. best bet is editing software.

like another adult adult males pronounced, it extremely is an argument with factor ratio. you may regulate factor ratio by applying applying your distant. it is not constantly comparable to "image settings" (which tend to venture shade), yet could be below a button pronounced as "image length," "show," "format," or comparable. each and every producer has their very own word for it, which i'm going to agree is thoroughly stressful. because of the fact that i do no longer know who made your television, i'm able to in basic terms make it easier to recognize to look for words that advise image and shape. as quickly as you stumble on that factor ratio button, maximum televisions will a minimum of furnish you with a call between sixteen:9 (which fills the show, good for HD channels and different widescreen content) and four:3 (which provides a sq. image with black bars on the facets, good for usual-def channels and different fullscreen content). See in the experience that your television's factor ratio settings contain an "automobile" or "dot-by applying-dot" mode, which will regulate image without delay. different factor ratio settings could additionally exist on your television, yet they at the instant are not mandatory for extremely some the video accessible. we are able to truthfully learn a lesson from what your cousin did. factor ratio settings exist so as that distinctive image resolutions could be displayed top on a widescreen television with out stretching. in case you specially watch non-HD cable on your television, you may word that below the present placing, actors don't have fat faces anymore (or while you're observing widescreen content, all of us will seem too skinny). as quickly as you may desire to regulate factor ratio, you will get the main suitable, maximum proportionally maximum suitable image that your television is able to. it additionally would be extra applicable than in the previous your cousin messed with it! playstation John makes an exciting element. on my own widescreen television, Closed Captioning would not make a distinction -- text textile in basic terms scrolls over in spite of image is there -- yet your television could be distinctive. it is well worth finding into.
