Typically the + sign indicates that the phone number includes its country code immediately after the + (its usually 1 or 2 digits that may not be separated from the rest of the number). If you give the country code we may be able to help.

Take a look at what is after the + sign. North American and Caribbean numbers start with +1. UK starts with +44. It all depends on the country code in the number.

Once you have that information, go to www.countrycodes.com to look up the country where it is from.

That just mean it is from overseas. What are the next six numbers and which country are you in ? I can then look up the exit and entrance codes.

very often mobile numbers in the uk come up with +44 in place of the zero, this is especially common on text messages or if a friend is calling from europe on thier uk mobile
