Okay, I have to explain the situation I'm in. I'm 14 years old, 9th grade, and I'm a pretty smart kid (I'm taking all honors classes and I have straight A's). I quit band, and the only elective that I could take to replace it was Agriculture, because it was the only class that had room in it. So, even though I have absolutely NO interest in farming, I had to take the class. It was an easy class, so I did well on all the tests and projects. My teacher was surprised to come across a smart kid in Agriculture, and decided to take advangtage of me. There is a yearly FFA (Future Farmers of America) quiz, and she wanted me and a few other people to do it, and all she wanted was for us to win. I didn't want to do this quiz---I had no interest in Agriculture, I didn't have enough spare time, etc. But I could tell my teacher really wanted me to do it, and she practically forced me, so I said yes I would do it. To be a member of the FFA, you have to pay $20, which I did not pay...

...because it's a waste of money to join a club that I don't care about. But to do this quiz, you had to be an FFA member. All my peers in Agriculture told me that our teacher had payed the $20 for me, so I figured if she's that nice to pay for me, I should definately go to the quiz thing. Then yesteday, the day before the quiz, my teacher was like "You didn't pay your $20 to join the FFA." And I was like, "well everyone told me that you payed for me..." But she obviously didn't hear me, and she just said, "Oh well, I'll write someone else's name on your test, someone who did join the FFA." Now that sounded like cheating to me, but I still was going to do it because it seemed like the teacher really needed me. She told us all to meet in the high school parking lot today morning at 6:30 wearing this certain uniform. Well I showed up at the parking lot, and there was no one there. The teacher had given me the wrong directions or time or something. Well now I'm really mad....

....that I woke up early and studied and everything. But I'm SUPER mad that the teacher just wanted to use me to win some stupid quiz and she wanted to cheat by putting someone else's name on my quiz and stuff. The worst part is, when I go to school on Monday, the teacher's gonna be mad at ME! She'll probably give me a really bad grade in the class, because I "didn't show up at the quiz." What am I supposed to do with this teacher???

Tell this to your parents and have them get involved. You can't handle this alone.

Sounds like you should not have quit band. If you can reverse that decision than do so. Wait for an alternative elective to change out of band. I don't think you should have gone with the Ag elective if you knew up front that you had no interest in that field.

I am sure you are a smart kid as you do so well in your honor classes. Try to apply your intelligence to areas other than academics, it is a different thinking process. Be a little less proud and a little more humble. It will serve you well through your life.

Good luck to you, I hope you get things straightened out.
