The big guy doesn't exist, at least not the version that religion goes on about... god was created in man's image. We made him up to explain the unexplainable (eclipses, lightning, volcanoes, etc.) and as a way to control the masses.
Today, it is still being used to do these things.
I believe that the only possibility of a god existing, is if one 'created' the big bang. That we're one big science experiment, we were created, and here we are... no intervention.
The idea of a god that intervenes and judges, has no actual place in reality, it's just a clever invention of man that can never definately be proven either way.

You can see my view. I don't believe there is a god like you. I usualy like to imagine a god as a big old caucasoid with long white hair, a big beard and a white robe siting on a big cloud in the sky. That's what comes up in my head when I think of a god but I still think like you.

Religion, as such, is not that important. In the Bible God speaks of His Bride which IS the church. No distinction is made, as far as I know, as to what type of church or religion. When He mentions Church, He isn't talking about a building but the people that believe in Him. I think He approves of "organized religion". Without it, there would be no "church". He wants us to come together, worship and support each other. My personal feeling about "religion" is that most all of them have the same basic belief and that is that there is a God. ALL the church convenants have NO bearing on anything. The ONLY thing that matters is to believe in God. ALL other religions that worship some common dead person, that wrote a book, will have a rude awakening one day. Thats just the way it is. Good luck. Pops

Yeah, I believe God exists. It's easy to say that if we saw Jesus today that we would believe, but Jesus performed miracles right in front of people and still some didn't believe.
John 11 describes how Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead. The following verses then say:

Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, put their faith in him. But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.

This tells us that obviously an overwhelming amount were convinced that Jesus was God but that there were still those blinded by unbelief.

It's also easy to dismiss Jesus as a myth or that the accounts of his life were made up. Recent research has indicated that most of these were written within 50 years after Jesus died. This means that the New Testament was available in written form while plenty of eyewitnesses were still alive to say either 'yes that happened' or 'no, I was there and that isn't what I saw'.

Other stuff like the fact that prophecies 700 years before Jesus' time were fulfilled, along with my own personal experiences lead me to the conclusion that God certainly exists.

I'll pray that you will come to follow Jesus, the Son of God, wholeheartedly.

I got news for you, "say-no" - He already came to earth to perform miracles.

And He was killed.

My view is God loves us and wants the best for us but like any parent, his patience is not unlimited. When He starts losing more souls than He is gaining, Jesus will return and put an end to the crap we have made of His world.

At that point, He probably starts over again with another creation. I doubt very seriously we were His first.

Of course there is a God. He created you and the universe. If you don't believe that you and the universe have a maker, think of it like this:
Look around - isn't everything you have made by something??
a maker perhaps? How could there be anything that doesn't have a maker? Including the universe?? Yes, including the universe..i know what science says but what God caused it to happen.
Believe in Jesus and pray!!!!

There is a Creator.
Most refer to him as 'God'.
The word 'god' simply means mighty one.
If there is no Creator, that means all this got here by accident.
Its almost incredulous to accept that such intricate systems and cycles (be it in the human body, or regards the planet) came about by accident.
However, to go from accepting the idea of a Creator to saying He wants us to believe this or that .....well, that's a big leap.

God is the creator and ruler of the universe. God isn't just up there but exists everywhere and at every-time, even beyond time and space, but is not a part of the creation, but seperate from it. God is eternal, perfect, all-knowing, all-powerful, just, merciful & forgiving and is of pure spirit.

If he is real he should come down to earth and perform the kind of miracles he did in the bible. If he is real I want him to come down to earth take a clump of clay and create a person out of it as proof that he is god.
