PAULO: does your voice change with different people you speak to? Or is it the same?

King James: It is, just curious as to the answers. Surely if he spoke to everyone his voice would be described as the same.

For me, it doesn't sound like anything, because it doesn't come through my ears. The presence of God is felt as a thrill in the whole physiology, and the "speaking" is just a thought that appears within the mind accompanied by a feeling of assurance.
This experience occurs when one has successfully reduced the awareness of the senses, reaching a state of alertness that is not accompanied by sensory activity. This state may last a split second or it may last for a much longer time, several minutes, even more. In this state, the connection with Pure Being, God, the Creator, Allah, Krishna, whatever name is used, is revealed. It is always there, but we only recognize it when we release ourselves from attachments to the senses.
The release can come through prayer, meditation, yoga, pranayama (breathing techniques), singing of spiritual songs, chanting, etc., or sometimes can occur randomly when we are confronted with a scene of unsurpassed beauty or hear from someone we love deeply, stuff like that.

sure, i might snort, yet that is probable no longer what God's voice appears like. look and spot what the Bible has to declare approximately God's voice. 2 Samuel 22:14 " The LORD thundered from heaven,And the main intense uttered His voice. interest 37:2 "pay attention heavily to the thunder of His voice,And the rumbling that is going out from His mouth. interest 37:4 "After it, a voice roars; He thunders together with his majestic voice,And He does no longer restrain the lightnings while His voice is heard. interest 37:5 "God thunders together with his voice wondrously,Doing good issues which we can't understand.

I'm hoping (probably in vain) that this is a serious question. Judging by most of the answers so far, it isn't. But, just in case...

I've heard God two different ways.

The first is what you would probably call a conscience. That's the one in the front of my head that sounds like a male baritone. (Three guesses on what my voice sounds like...first two don't count. :-P)

The other one is the "soft, quiet whisper" from behind my left ear. And it was exactly that. That one was actually outside me and (pardon the pun) scared the h**l out of me all three times it happened. Sure wish I'd listened to it.

Edit: Well, in that case, I'd have to go with the whisper. Those three times are the only ones I can be sure it wasn't me, and I was totally alone at the time. I can't answer for others though. As for Him sounding the same for everybody...why? First of all, you would have to assume that He is incapable of making different sounds when even mere man can do that. And secondly, different people would respond to different catalysts; why wouldn't He use that for His benefit?

Well?

The Father draws us to the gospel of Christ. Father gives us faith & enligtens us to Gods Truth.

It is a loving inner drawing that is faith in Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

When one is born of His Spirit, cleansed by His blood, joint heirs with King Jesus, made part of the family of God; then person isn't of hardened conscience any more. But born a spiritual new person.

So? Jesus said that to see the Kingdom of God we must be born again. So? Our spiritual ears, eyes, etc. are opened. So? We hear from our spirit. The Holy Spirit seals us & is the Spirit of Truth who leads us into all truth that the Word of God has said.

So? How do I hear God. With my spiritual ears. How do I see God? With my spiritual eyes. Though I don't see God close up, because God is too bright & strong for even my spiritual eyes. I can have a vision that visualizes Gods characteristics.

Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice & know Him. And they won't follow after a sneaky wolf in sheeps clothing. So? When I read this in the bible, I can hear the Lord's voice read it to me. I am the Good Shepherd. So? I know the Lord's voice. I also, know the Fathers voice. I heard this for the first time after I listened to http://www.fathersloveletter.com . Because Father God sounded that way to me. A loving Father. The Holy Spirit is close to my new spiritman. So? Brings scripture to mind in my spirit. Also, I believe I hear the Lords voice through the Holy Spirit who is the translator to my spirit.

The Holy Spirit assures us that we are Gods children & that we can come boldy before the 'Throne of Grace' in time of need. We can pray Abba, Father 24/7. Because Jesus redeemed us from our sins.

The impression usually comes like a spontaneous thought to the mind from the spirit. At other times an audible manly voice.

In my experiences, it was a male voice, very simple, straight to the point, very short. no booming voice just the words I need to make a decision or change or whatever. When It happens there is no doubt, just a humbling thrill that the God of Heaven and Earth would take the time to speak words of wisdom and comfort to me.

The voice matches the individual's expectations.

It's not usually audible, since He kinda quit speaking out loud after Jesus' day of baptism. God speaks to us in other ways. He uses people a lot to give us a "revelation", but, ordinarily He speaks to us in our inner being through the Holy Spirit. You know it's Him if you belong to Him.....if you have received Christ as your personal Savior. The Holy Spirit dwells within every Christian. One of the reasons God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell inside the Christian is to make intersession for us with God. He (Holy Spirit) not only interprets scripture for us, but He speaks to God in utterings that we can not understand on our behalf each time we pray to God. He also does the reverse.....He tells us what God is saying to us. It's more than a feeling. Have you ever "felt" someone watching you? Or have you ever "felt" someone enter the room you are in, but they made no sound and you couldn't see them because they were behind you? You didn't physically "feel" them......it was in your spirit that you knew they were there. Same with God talking to us.....it's not audible, you don't feel like a gust of wind, but you know it is He that is giving you a message. Non believers can "feel" God speaking to them also. If He so chooses, He will speak (again, not audibly) to nonbelievers. That's how we discover He is real and wants us to turn to Him. Often times you'll hear Christians talk of being "convicted of a sin". That's not just guilt working on them, it's the Holy Spirit reminding them they have to work out some of their problems with God. God has lots of ways He communicates with His children and nonbelievers in an effort that they know Him personally. It is His desire to have an ongoing fellowship with everyone. It would be odd for the Creator of all to not want to communicate with His creation.

Good question! I have the same question for those who claim they can "feel" God. What does God feel like? Walking by faith has no confidence in feelings or voices, only is trust.

the universe has 3 stages

stage 1- good and evil exist and prepare for the ultimate battle

stage 2- god makes his 13th appearance and the only physicalized arrival as a result of the threat to destroy the universe through the contract it had with itself, thus preparing the entire system itself for the prepartion of what shall ensue after his death as the absolution of the ultimate paradise

stage 3- a gigantic orgasm where stage 1 is re-formatted while being forgotten entirely through the compilation of limitation removal as evidenced in the only moment of choice where parts of it would segregate itself without autonomy or masks
