No single Republican candidate has a solid grip on the Religious Right's considerable support and the Reverend Pat Robertson's endorsement of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani dumbfounded many conservative Christians.
"Giuliani is pro-abortion, and pro-gay rights," said conservative Christian activist Bryan Fischer of Boise. "Those are simply non-starters for the majority of evangelicals."
Some pundits say it signals the end of the Religious Right's political influence in the USA.
Still, some political experts say the Religious Right's traditional social agenda is taking a back seat to more pressing issues.

I'm with pastor Art. I believe it was a bad day for the 700 club. There are so many Christian organizations that I would love to support and have always liked to give to the 700 club because they do such a wide variety of charity work along with spreading the Gospel. I am dissappointed enough with Pat's endorsement of Guiliani that any money we can scrape up to give will be going some place else. My vote is going to Huckabee. If it comes down to Guiliani I'm not sure I will even vote for a presidential candidate. I will never give my vote to a pro gay rights or pro abortion candidate! It's distressing to say the least.Although Guiliani has promised not to nominate supreme court justices that are pro abortion, I'm not sure that I trust him on that at this point. I'm not sure what his stand is on the homosexual agenda at this time.I want a candidate who hasn't recently changed his stand to get elected.I,m hoping and praying that there are more people behind Huckabee than are showing up in the polls but it's not looking good.I've heard "You'll be wasting your vote on him." That is the very reason that some people get into office. Americans don't vote for the guy they really like because they don't want to waste their vote. Vote for the person whom you REALLY are behnd and see what happens! God bless!!

Presidential elections are always exciting - however this season has been seemingly endless and that, combined w/ the historical potential of a win on either side, makes this pretty spectacular. The stakes are very high - NBC coverage reported that 79% of the people they interviewed in exit polls stated that Change was the thing that played the biggest factor in their voting decisions.

What you are saying could possibly be true. All that you have listed are terribly important issues.
It wouldn't surprise me if we lose our religious rights if a democrat gets in power. I agree with Pastor Art that I have lost all respect for Pat Robertson.
I don't like the fact that we don't have a strong republican running. Have they given up?

The U.S. economy is in big trouble. I believe it is the most important Presidential election ever. None of the candidates are aware of our economic dilemma. Especially when they spend 300$ of our money on a stupid hair cut.
