America did not directly help Isreal win that war-- despite the propaganda. In fact, Arab leaders were recorded having a conversation about if they should blame America for the outcome of the war.

What a bunch of historical revisionism! The truth hurts. The Jews beat the Arabs practically all by themselves! Those who say the US helped them are typical apologists who can t bear the fact that Jews kicked Arab butt and have been doing ever since. The Israelis in 1967 had practically NO US weapons. Their planes were almost exclusively French (Mirage III, Super Mystere). The tanks were old British Centurion and US WW2 era Shermans that were obsolete even in 1943. What support the Israelis received from the US was some economic, political (at the UN) and to keep the Soviets out with the US 6th Fleet. The victory was due solely to superior Israeli training, superior tactics, superior soldiers (Arab soldiers were 50% illiterate), and much higher motivation. Once the Israelis took out the Arab air forces, Egypt fell into headlong retreat toward the Mitla Pass in the Sinai, where they were easy pickings for the Israeli Air Force. Israel did not become a major recipient of US military aid until after the Six Day War. By 1969, the US was supplying Israel with top of the line US military equipment (F-4 Phantoms, A-4 Skyhawks), and it was mainly a concern to counter the Soviet Union, who was backing the Arabs. Israel has not won the war, but it has managed to win one of the battles in war. What Israel did then was that it grabbed huge of land wiht the political help of US. As far as the war is concerend, it is still being fought, by the Hamas etc, and we know what Hamas did to Israel few months back.
