It's a toss up between Queen Elizabeth cake (love the coconut) and my Grand-mother's chocolate cake with chocolate icing (can you tell that I love chocolate?).

My mom made sorghum cake, which is kind of like a huge molasses cookie, basically. Very tasty. It was baked in a black skillet in the oven, like cornbread. It looked like dark cornbread. It was served usually with no frosting because it was so naturally sweet. But on occasion, she would slather some white confectioner's sugar icing on it.
