i'm looking to buy some headphones for under £100,do i go wireless for convenience or do good old cables still offer the best sound quality?any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Well, you have pretty much answered your own question!

Wireless gives you convenience, but with poor sound quality and frequent signal break-up.

Traditional corded headphones have far better sound quality than wireless ones, but you are pretty limited as to how far you can wander from the source.

So it depends on what you really want: convenience or quality?

Well I use them with my TV.. I am hard of hearing and use subtitles, but a lot of channels don't have them... A wired headphone is a bit of a nuisance as either the wire is too short, extensions never seem to fit properly, if sitting on settee and want to move or lie down, wire gets in the way... I bought wireless ones from Comet, about £25 and they work fine... Just have to remember to put phones on charger rest overnight to avoid flat batteries... Cant say there is a lot of difference in quality of sound, but there again my hearing is not very good anyway...
