Did you know that water is the only substance that can be in the form of liquid, gas and solid all in the same place at the same time? Strange huh?

I am borne again and have been filled with the Holy Spirit.
It happened at a prayer meeting and we weren't even talking about it. I wasn't thinking about it either.
In truth, I was complaining in silent to God about a person I didn't like that was there. God came to me and convicted me so strongly that I cried. No one understood but then he entered me and I could do nothing but praise him with a force that was beyond me. I could hardly control my self. After the praising, I felt a great love for everyone in the room including the person I had been complaining to God about.

Later, I remembered a prayer I had made a few nights before.
I had asked him to give me the power to be a witness for him.

If you check it out, you'll find that this is the main reason for being filled with the Holy Spirit.

any other questions?

Hi.

The word Ghost was an old fashioned English term but today most people refer to the Holy 'Spirit'. The Holy Spirit is simply God himself. The scripture says that 'God IS a Spirit' and also 'everything that God does is by His Spirit'.

Back in the old testament God commanded the Israelites to build a tabernacle or temple. Once a year a certain designated man called the 'high priest' would, after making the required sacrifices, enter into the inner sanctum of this temple which was called the 'holy of holies' or 'the most holy place. This was where he was said to actually see the presence of God.

Jesus claimed that these sacrifices and the high priest symbolised himself and that he, Jesus, was the fulfillment or completion of these things. Therefore christians consider Jesus to be both the sacrifice necessary and the high priest {performer of the sacrifice} by which we can enter into the presence of God. The bible now describes US as the temple of God and his presence 'the Holy Spirit' dwells in us.

Incidently one good indicator of whether or not this is true can be seen in what Galatians 5 lists as the fruit of the Spirit. Often people place the emphasis on supernatural signs {which can be faked or copied} but the real way to see if God's Spirit resides within a person is by their character. Are they becoming more like Christ, more loving, peaceful, self controlled ect. Incidently I don't think you have to be pentecostal and speaking in tongues to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I'm not saying what they are doing isn't real but that what God does is not boxed in by their theology.

Christ had promised the Apostles, "I will send you the Holy Ghost (Spirit). He will be your Comforter. After Jesus left them, the Apostles were afraid. So they hid themselves in the little apartment of Mary. They prayed and waited for nine days.( This was the first Novena ) Then on Pentecost, over their heads, the Apostles saw parted tongues of fire. A tongue settled on each of their heads. The Holy Ghost had come. This was the birthday of the Catholic Church.

EDIT...Gypsy Priest....... It might have been the devil pretending to be the Holy Spirit that filled you. Satan is very strong now.

God's Mother,Mary said "One cannot truly believe,be a Christian,if he does not respect other Religions as well. You do not really believe in God if you make fun of other Religions."
Does this apply to you ?
