Chocolate used to give me migraines. There are some foods called trigger foods that are more likely than others to cause headaches/migraines. Usually they're different for certain people. If your headaches are really a problem you can see a doctor who can give you more advice. I grew out of it though so now I can eat whatever i like.

You could be... Go to an allergenist and get a test done. You might just be allergic to a certain ingredient or filler in the chocolate, so maybe if you buy a certain brand of it you would be ok..
side note- there is a other kind of chocolate called "Carob" I believe. Dogs are allergic to chocolate and apperently they make carob as something almost exactly like chocolate but does not include the bad ingredient.. do a google search for it...

You might be allergic to chocolate, or you might be diabetic: My mother thought she was allergic to chocolate for a while, but then started noticing she was getting headachy every time she had sugar. She is a bit sensitive to chocolate too, but the diabetes is what was really bothering her.

Good luck!

try eating white chocolate and see if the same thing happens. If it does, then yeah, you're probably allergic to the cocoa, if not, then maybe ask your doctor and see what the hell is up.

you probably are allergic to chocolate. I love it myself, but being diabetic I can't have it. Not even sugar free. Even that has alcohol sugar, read the labels and that is the same thing as sugar. They shouldn't be allowed to advertise sugar free.
