I'm now continuing in Mining (M.Sc), But I don't have enough motivation to complete it.
I'm really intrested in Software Engineering, but I don't exactly know how its content may be.
Furthermore, before starting a new study I must attend a 2 year period in Military Service.
I'm 22 years old now, I'm living in Iran.
Do you have any advice or experience for me.

Study something that will help to improve the everyday lives of ordinary people in your country. How about Plumbing Engineering which will help with irrigation and sanitation and make peoples lives better. Water covers 2/3 of our planet and the study of water is important.

Also, telecommunications. People are less fanatical when they realize that we are all part of this small planet. I have heard that Iran has the fourth highest amount of people on the internet and that is great. Bringing information to the masses is also very important. Especially bringing information to isolated people that can help them with their everyday lives, like medical information or construction information.

Good Luck and be safe in your military service.

If you studied software engineering then you would be well qualified to develop software used in mining equipment.
