I work for a factory. We have a supervisor who is being a jerk. Even though we are producing more then the required amount of material, he will tell us we are going to slow. He always picks one person and cuts them down all day. We have had people who have been with the company over 30 years move departments to get away. It's to the point where most of the new people are quitting. We have talked many times to the manager, but nothing changes. I've only been with the company about 2 years, and already the senior on that side of the plant. He hasn't really picked on me, but I've seen him git out of line with others. And the manager wonders why we have such a bad turn over racieo.

Is there anything else we could try?

The only think I can think of is to go over his head. And keep moving up as long as it takes or until he changes his behavior. It amazes me that people like that make management positions. Good Luck!

Quit.

No, seriously! If you work for a jerk and management refuses to change your working conditions, just quit and look for other employment.

Most American workers spend 30% of their waking life at work. No sense to spend that much time in misery.

Put your complaints to the manager in writing. Make sure to keep a copy.
