Don't lie flat. This will only increase blood pressure to your head. Lay on a recliner. Take a washcloth and wet it and wring it out and put it in a zip bag in the freezer, make up a few and apply cold to your temples as needed for short periods of time. This is while you are in the process of getting an appointment with a doctor.
Don't take any over the counter medications that raise blood pressure. Don't consume caffeine. Don't smoke.

I have a lot of trouble with headaches, myself. I don't know what you've tried, but some caffeine, a cold compress, and a quiet dark room might work wonders. I hope you're getting enough sleep. Also, you could be suffering from allergies. Anyway, some over the counter meds are pretty good, and I hope you feel better soon.

You are having a nerve in your brain being compressed by possibly to much salt in your diet. Retention of fluids is what caused some of my grandmothers headaches and she had to cut back on products with salt in it.
If this is something that happens often then you should see a doctor and get it checked out. If this is the first time then watch what you eat, stick with fruits, veggies, low salt, low sugar, low fat, and give it a day or two.....still It would be good for you to see a doc

The nerves are getting inflamed due to Blockage of Vital Energy resulting in pain.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
For forehead pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.
It may disappear naturally too.

Sounds like you may have a sinus infection....my friend's daughter had one, and never had a stuffy nose....Try to buy an over the counter nasal flush....(don't spend and arm and a leg, its just saline water and a squeezy bulb thingy, buy just that if you have to) , some companies try to charge you 15-20$. Warm compresses also help with the sinuses. Good luck!

Sounds like a sinus headache. I actually had one for a little over a week as well. Acetaminophen really helps out with it for me, as well as heat, which seems to help break what is congesting the sinus cavity.

You might have one type of migrane. Get up very early in the morning i.e. before sunrise and watch the young sun(rising sun) with nacked eye, please care eyeleap may drop. Continue it atleast for ten minuts. Then do this asan as sit in padmasan, take both of your hands to back and then bend in front and try to touch the floor with your forhead now roll slowly your head both left & right and ups & down. Do this atleast for five minuts. Take plenty of fresh water in the morning.
