A nice green salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, bell pepper, low calorie salad dressing and a piece of grilled chicken breast. I find it helpful when I make my meal before I do my workout, that way I have something to look forward to after my exercise. If you don't exercise to burn off the carbs (calories) you take in, yes it would turn into fat.

Eat a normal snack. Not chips or anything. Something to help you restore energy. I eat nature valley bars, etc. Carbs are in a lot of stuff. Pasta more than rice. Do not fear rice, rice is your fren.
