Depends! However, you should not get so bent out of shape over them not leaving a message. Consider the alternative, they could be leaving long drawn out unnecessary messages... That would be worse. Most people these days have caller i.d. therefore If I know they do, I do not leave a message, if they do not. then of course I leave a message.... if people want to screen their calls that is their business, simply because you have a phone and are at home does not mean you have to answer it... Sounds like the person on the other line has some security and self esteem issues... If it is important they will call back...God bless****

It depends. If I'm just calling to chat with a friend, I probably won't leave a message. If I need to give someone a piece of information, I'll almost certainly leave a message, and if it's really important, I'll generally call back as well to be SURE they got it.
It doesn't frustrate me at all; if they didn't have a machine, THEN it would frustrate me if I needed to tell someone something. I don't expect people to sit around waiting for calls any more than I intend to sit around waiting for theirs.
And yes, on occasion, I screen calls, just like sometimes I don't answer my front door. The phone is paid for by ME, for MY convenience, not for someone else's!

Well, I usually leave the just like short message just so they will I atleast know what I called for. And Yes it does piss me off when i get the machine more than once, but sometimes I think, "What if something happened to them." But what really makes me mad is when you get a busy single so you call back a few minutes later and they don't answer! O and yes I do think somtimes people are just screening their calls beause they don't want to talk to me.

99.9 % of the time, I leave a message. Rarely do I not. I have an answering machine as well. I have it, so that when I am not available to come to the phone (whether I'm home or not, bathroom or not) I appreciate it when people who call me leave a message. Then I know who it was, and the approx. time they called. I don't use the gizmo's of caller id, etc., so I don't want to wste my time or money calling the code to find out the last number called thingy.
Take care.

I never talk to answering machines. I either hang up or wait until the answering machine stops talking and then leave a message (if it's not important I'll hang up, and if it's important I'll leave a message).
I don't mind hang-ups on my machine - in fact I prefer it!! It means less time talking to annoying people!!

yes i think you shoud leave a message for them and let them know that you called eaven if itss just to chat. and some times it does make me mad when i get hung up on but some of its the phone problems too they do crazy things some time i know that i have problems with mine and its not my falt that it happens and yes some people screen there call so they don't have to talk to teller markers and that kind of stuff. it is not right for people to say that is what you do when it is not not nice . good luck.

Most of the hangs up are telemarketing computers, they hang up. I think if you went to all the trouble of dialing, it is good manners to leave a short message. If you misdial and get a wrong number, I also think it's polite to apologize for the misdial.

If I want them to call me back, I'll generally leave a message. If I don't need them to call me back, I sometimes don't. If they don't leave a message, I don't feel a need to call them back.

Oh oh!! i try this. its because of the fact i prefer to take heed to what they might desire to declare on the device so i wait on the line and then with out word there's a beep!! so i promptly dangle up! hate speaking to machines. cuz its wierd.
