If the landlord says you can't, you can't. Landlords are allowed to make these rules. You can negotiate and say you're willing to put down an extra deposit or pet fee to cover any damages your dog might do, but this isn't a guarantee. You may have to find a dog friendly place quick!

its teh landlords house and you have to go by his rules, if he says you cant have a chihuahua then there is nothing you can do im afriad. its either get rid of the dog, or get a new house / apartment, on this side though most flats or apartments wont allow dogs so this isnt anything new.
his house his rules im afraid

if they say you cant, than sadly you cant.. if you are dying to be around pets, you should think of volunteering at your local animal shelter. they always have chihuahuas that need tlc in the shelter and if you love them it would work out great because you can get your dog fix, and you can help a dog find a home.

try find another place to live, if your landlord wont negioate then he doesnt deserve to have a chihuahua living in his place

if this happened to me i would be devastated cos i would not get rid of mi chi's.
