I've been getting blocked more and more all the time. Lately, it's not even when I disagree necessarily, but when I don't actively agree. I'm not rude with answers, I tend to be articulate and validate any decent point that is made. I'll tell a liberal or a conservative person equally when they're suggesting ridiculous claims, but I do it in a pretty mature way.

Who else is finding this around here? Apparently the truth is so horrible that we have to block dissentors?

To be fair, every block I've received recently has been from a bleeding-heart conservative. There are a lot of uneducated liberals around here too, but they haven't been blocking me.

Me too. All it takes is a couple of folks who don't like your answer to report it, and if they are "reliable" it gets yanked. Thats the way dissent is silenced here. Get used to it, lots of the people here are like schoolyard cry babies that go tattle if you hurt their feelings.

Personally, never for content, more or less attitude. Having the next choice as block all ? We have few options. Given the witch hunts and language one may feel the need for self preservation.

I deplore the name calling and rants that have no place in the debate. Report button for disagreements is a big problem on here. Hard to know who you can trust anymore. Even posting now has me a bit nervous but I shall answer from a Republican point of view. And the lashings are definitely a bi partisan event. Peace!

Maybe it's your lack of respect for the people who you disagree with.
Example: bleeding heart conservative, ridiculous, uneducated liberal. Those assumptions are rude in my opinion.
Assuming someone is uneducated or putting a label on them for their opinion and or facts does not sound very mature to me.
Try to refrain from name calling and condescending remarks. That may help. This isn't a school yard.

I'm not sure what blocked means.. maybe you mean reported and the answer removed. It has been my experience that conservatives gang up and report ppl a lot more than the other side. I am not just saying this because I am a Democrat.

I posted a question which was a direct link to a yahoo news story and it got deleted because some wieny liberal must have got their panties in a bunch over it

"troubling that Democrats continue their efforts to force a retreat even though our troops are winning."

This was a direct quote from a yahoo news story but apparently when I post it as a question it must upset liberals on here because they do not like it when postive things are said about the troops

It is too a school yard....
Just remember 50% of the people are below average.
Maturity is not a requirement
And courage, honestly and being open to dialogue are not required either to post questions and answers
We are much closer to the unreasoning mob than any of us know........
Everyone has thier own truth and it is far easier to yell and prove you are a moron than to actually use that grey matter between the ears to think
Thinking hurts

I sent the 'moderators" an email on this...I had an answer removed because it was true, had no profanity or abuse in it,but someone didn't like the truth so they complained and it was removed.I sent the controllers a seriously hot email...that if anyone who doesn't like the truth can select to have your answer removed, you are being censored...they didn't like what I had to say...prob this will get removed also...too bad..the answer I am talking about was in response to the question.."what sentence would you say to Jimmy Carter?".>I answered.."Sir,you are an idiot"..now whats wrong with that?..but it got yanked...

You are right!
If they don't like the answer because it is usually truth you will get blocked or removed from answers permanently.
