God promises Abram and his descendants all of the land of Canaan. But both history and the bible (Acts 7:5 and Heb.11:13) show that God's promise to Abram was not fulfilled. 13:15, 15:18, 17:8, 28:13-14

God promises to bring Jacob safely back from Egypt, but Jacob dies in Egypt (Gen.47:28-29) 46:3

Contrary to the prophecy in 48:21, Joseph died in Egypt, not Israel. Gen.50:24

God promises to cast out many nations including the Canaanites and the Jebusites. But he was unable to fulfill his promise. 33:2

Shouldn't god of all beings keep his promises?

Well, you know I'm an Atheist, but I have to point out that to a Christian who believes, these points you have made won't make a difference. Not only will they insist that God's timeline is different from man's(as far as when a prophecy can be considered fulfilled), they will also insist, if all else fails, that God was speaking of promises to be fulfilled in a spiritual metaphor.

I have talked with Christians before(mainly my own family) about just such things, and have been told that the "promised land" referred to in such instances is actually the state of dwelling in the shadow of God's will, etc. The Bible is full of contradictions, people have been pointing them out forever, and still it makes no difference to those who believe.

Faith has a unique ability to validate itself and see things from its own perspective, as it were.

God makes the rules. The chosen people broke them all. Their punishment was the loss of their promised land. There seems to be a fair number of Jews on the Earth and some of them have managed to recapture their homeland, and make it prosper, as I see it.
Besides, weren't the bones of Israel and Joseph returned to their homeland? (Ex 13:19) (Gen 49: 28-30 and 50:12-13)
Tell me, how much safer can you be than dead, where none can harm you? Genesis 48:21 only has Israel say that Joseph would return to the land of his fathers. I dont read anything about his being alive when it will happen. I think the secret to interpret the Bible is "KISS" but first read the story, then the passage.
Acts 7, as I read it, says that God would lead Abraham to a place that "I will show you" but his decendents, not he, would inherit the land. Steven was, after all, speaking to the priests in JERUSALEM, don't you know. And so the promise was fulfilled until the Jews (well the priests, anyway) crucified Christ. That was the ultimate sin, a sin against God himself. and, so, they were slaughtered by Rome. It is all about promises made to be fulfilled to a faithful generation in a distant future. Even the 12 tribes (Joseph's brothers) did an evil act. And where are Hebrews 15:18, 17:8 and 28:13-14?...You didn't make them up, did you? Oh, I'll be kind and assume you had some other passages in mind and cited them incorrectly. Look, I'm no Bible scholar and you got me staying up late and frantically trying to see your point, but I think you've failed to prove your argument.

PLEASE read the story of Abraham See Genesis 22:17 the land is promised to Abraham's DESCENDANTS. Q.To whom does it show the land going to? A. His decedents!! I can't seem to find where such a promise was made to Jacob but Gen 49:30 shows that Jacob is buried in the land of Canaan. As for 33:2- 33:2 OF WHAT? Genesis and Exodus 33:2 show no such thing as you claim.. I'm afraid your assertions have a lot of holes in them. Now you might have a lot of people believing your false story. I hope not. I hope they read this answer and realize the true story

what history? Acts doesnt say He didnt get it. Read farther on and it says his descendants received it.

God didnt say that. He says he will bring Jacob back, which Joseph did when Jacob asked for his body to be brought back out of egypt.

whats the reference for 33:2?

dbu & Joseph got it right and I in my past chosen rejection of Jesus and the bible would have never listenened to them because I was determined to reject God, blinded spiritually in my choice.

Jesus is wonderfull and He has never failed anyone that trusted in Him. Once He was a cuss word to me now as I say
Jesus is now my savior and best friend, but once I was a blind Jew rejecting him too

The promises and prophecies of God do happen and will happen in God's time frame not yours. Not one prophecy or promise will fail.

God didn't go to kindergarten, where we learn that it's not nice to break promises. He also never learned how to share, I hear.
