No- the opposite is true. It is actually hard to OD on vita C, but not enough can cause scurvy. Sailors used to suffer from it back in history. The English used to bring limes along for them to eat, hence the term limeys

No. The lack of C causes scurvy. That is why the Brits were called 'limeys'. The Brit sailors were given limes to suck to stave off scurvy. Scurvy is caused by a grievous lack of vitamin C...
