Did a search to try and find it, but it isn't on the website, and if it was for everyone to read, it should be there. It might just be old enough that it isn't on the website. That was a few years before my time, so I don't even know anything about it.

After the African American got the priesthood, they finally lifted the ban on women (widows or women married to nonmembers...or women never married) taking their own endowments out in the temple...by the way.
If you can find the pamplet it would probably have to with Paul saying women should be silent in church and a referance to only priesthood members being able to give the prayers...I am guessing.

There would have been very few printed so I doubt you'd be able to find it. However, we have many members in our ward who were members long before 1978 and they don't remember women not being allowed to pray in Sacrament meeting.

Good luck. That was 40 years ago with the Church being a tenth as large as now. This are not generally distributed. They would only go to members of the bishopric. The vast majority of them would now be octogenarians. If it contained a specific ban, it would simply state it, and not go into detail for its purpose.
