why does sex sell? i mean it is on computer games where yaterday we heard that malaysia i think it was that banned a microsoft game which included a human-alien sex scene. And just today singapore have allowed a game which includes a lesbian scene. I know the expression that 'sex sells' but why does it? do people get off on a computer game?

Games are just like tv in the realness they look to capture so if theres sex in a game the game is aimed at adults.And sex sells cause most people are born with sexual organs and usually intend to use them.what type of person would ask such a question anyway(child,elderly,frigid)

people dont get off as such but violence especially are one of the biggest factors in video games. computer games are meant to be wholseome family entertainment but the further the envelope can be pushed by games designers within legal constraints the more people want to consume them. in 30 years from pong to manhunt 2 inbetween its been a gentle progression to the censor saying "we dont care if your over 18 we are going to decide that we know better than you, even though we dont play video games" but slip a bit of flesh into a game then thats ok then! i myself dont see the lure of sex in a video game, but extreme violence now your whistling my tune.

it sells simply because mans most base instinct is sex.
we have a strange society that actually brainwashes us from birth to behave in the way that others expect us to behave.
The problem is that we all have instincts and they can never go away with any amount of social training or brainwashing as i call it.
how many times have you not done something, anything at all and yet really wished you had. the reason is because your social upbringing over-ruled your instincts and stopped you from behaving naturally. seems a bit deep but if you can get past my crappy wording, i am sure you will get what i mean
sex sells because our instincts in that area are out strongest

It is one of the primative urges we have and it has a strong pull on our mind. Humans are designed to breed and most people have little resistance to this natural process. I admire people who have the will power to not get involved in marriage and sex. They are a rear breed.

Well some people enjoy that kind of thing since they soemtimes can;t get it themselves also sometimes like in God of War For the PS2 there was a sorta sex part but it wasn't the WHOLE GAME.So sometimes it's just a little thing added.:D

All people r interested in sex and they wants to to satisfied them self by seeing such videos so it sells in market.if every body will stop watching such videos naturally they cant sell such perverted games or videos.

because there are more straight people then gay. several studies have been taken and about 60-80% of all people are straight. (both genders).
