Sweetie, I know you are having anxiety because you want your day to be perfect. The dress seems like it is VERY important right now.

Once you get older and your children are grown, you will look back and realize that the dress wasn't important at all. You can get married in sweatpants and a t-shirt if you want to.

The most important thing is that the two of you are beginning your lives together, and proclaiming your love for each other in front of God, your friends, and your family.

Your dress is fine, and trust me, everyone will remember what a beautiful bride you were.

Good luck and best wishes!

I'd find a place where you could rent a bridal gown that would make you look like a princess. Hopefully, this is your first and last wedding, and you want to feel beautiful in your dress. I'm not sure what the dress you are describing looks like, but if you aren't 100% sure you want to wear it, check on a rental, or even a once used dress from a second hand store. I gave my beautiful wedding gown to a second hand store so that someone like you could use it. Good luck with the dress and with the wedding. Love him as much in 10 years as you do today.

Wedding dresses do not have to be white. In some cultures it is actually bad luck to be married in white! My Aunt got married last year and had a blue dress (actually the same colour blue as the maid of honour dress I just bought!) and she looked and felt as much like a bride as any I've seen. And to me light gold sounds more elegant than blue. Just try to match the decorations to your dress! Maybe have tablecloths or napkins that are a similar colour.

White and Off-white are traditional, not mandatory. These days many women are choosing to go with color anyway. Don't ask others for their opinion if the dress is one YOU like go with it.
Ask yourself this:
1. Do I truly like this dress?
2. How important is the dress? Does it take priority over the reception hall or type of food served for example....

If you're happy with your choice that is all that matters. If you need some assistance with budgeting and planning on a budget feel free to email me and I will help you. :)

Its your wedding get married in what ever you want!!
Don't worry about someone thinking its tacky! There has never been a wedding where every attendee said everything was to their likin!
If you like the dress, see yourself getting married in it, it makes you feel good,... then go for it!
Money is not important at a wedding, if your truly ready for a MARRIAGE... is what is important!
I paid for my sisters wedding and my nieces, neither cost a great deal and they turned out very lovely!

If you love the dress wear it! Your wedding day is all about you! If your not in love w/ it keep looking. Don't wear something your going to look at pictures of in 1,5,10+ years and hate. Because if you dislike it now you will HATE it later.
Now, I got a beautiful dress that I loved more than any dress I saw in a boutique online for 400!

I provided the link but, look all around. Ebay, overstock.com, amazon.com there is a million dresses online for a great price. If you spend more time looking you'll spend less $$ later. I saved thousands of dollars just searching for bargains!

Good luck!

its really about what you want. If you want to wear that dress for your wedding day then do it. But it already seems like you're having doubts about it. David's bridal has inexpensive dresses that are really pretty. You can also try www.houseofbrides.com....they have lots of wedding dresses and their prices aren't bad either.

Remember, it's your day.

It sounds like a pretty dress, but it's hard to say if it's appropriate unless you post a picture.

If you like it, though, then wear it and feel beautiful. It's your wedding.

If you don't like it, I think the advice to rent a gown or look in a thrift store for one is excellent.
