Is it dangerous to fill propane at night? Are there any regulations against it?

Not sure about regs...but if it's colder at night and you fill it...then it heats up during day light...you could have problem with the gas expanding and no place to go but out through release valve.

Not in a confined space as it is a heavy gas and can smother u. It is also very explosive .
