a dear friend of mine was allegedly found dead at his post in '95, and there were several conflicting coroners reports, as well as a great many other suspicious details surrounding his death. less than a week after the funeral, his brother went AWOL, and was later found with a trunk load of C-4. he was arrested, charged, and sentenced to life without parole. i need to contact this brother, as i have information he may find interesting, and i know he might have something he could tell me as well.

i know i am probably going to regret ever asking this one, but i feel it has to be done. i just hope this isn't the last time i ever ask a question here.

The only reason you should regret asking this here is because its a stupid idea. If he's in military prison, Leavenworth is probably where he is. There a hundreds of better people and entities to ask, red-cross, DoD, VFW, or calling any contact number for the marines or specifically Leavenworth, which should be easy to find online. So you're right, you probably will regret asking this here...because its a ridiculous place to ask the question.
...unless you genuinely didnt think of the things I just said, in which case it was a good place to ask...because now you know.

Since the murder happened on Federal property covered by Title 19 of U.S. Code, his brother was probably charged and found guilty in a Federal court case. That being so, the below link is to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It has an "inmate locator" tool you can use.

The gentleman posting above me is correct on all counts. He is probably at the Military Detention Camp at the Leavenworth Federal Prison. Good luck.

I don't know why you should regret asking here. It seems like you got a couple good answers. I'd think you could just write Leavenworth

The main prison for military is Fort Levenworth, Kansas. You could also find your local recruiting station and ask them what would be the best way to find him.
