Does the PS3 require a special set of HDMI cables? One with specific input for the PS3? Or does the PS3 take a normal HDMI cable?

Also.. does using different versions of HDMI cables with the PS3 matter?

I ask this because for the PS2 it required PS2 specific cables which had the special input into the PS2.

Any cable will do, people have been saying that even cheap priced cables are good, and give great picture but one set back with cheap cables is that the cable itself may become loose, or the ends may tear or something. But to sum up any HDMI will do, and cheap cables come with some setbacks but you decide if you wanna risk it, do some research b4 hand.

Any normal HDMI cable will do, there is an HDMI port in the back of the PS3 that you can plug the cable right into.
I bought my HDMI cable online for about $5. Doesn't matter in price either.

you can use normal HDMI. i recommend you to use 1.3 HDMI, thats the best HDMI cable out there. i am currently using NYKO's HDMI, which was $30 and its been working great

Any HDMI cable'll work, but don't buy the cheap ones - they have some issues, data loss, audio clicks, etc.
