i listen to both types. anyone got any good bands or artists i should check out? you guys should look into Incubus and Thousand Foot Krutch they rock hardcore.

Mmm Thousand Foot Krutch is my favorite band. Hey in fact I'm wearing a TFK shirt right now.
I listen to some secular music. I love Rammstein. Other good bands include Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, and I also like some Led Zeppelin and such. I'm a hard rock guy. Increasingly I have been getting into metal though. I don't really like the "grrring" type of metal but I would prefer it over other types of music.

I'm into listening to Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Rush, Genesis, Kansas, Black Sabbath, some contemporary Celtic music, Classical, Jane's Addiction, Tori Amos, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Evanescence, Third Eye Blind, Peter Gabriel, Metalica, and many, many more.
I'm 47, and have been exposed to a lot of music. I was there when the whole 90's alternative music came out. Some of the new stuff I like too, like Panic! at the Disco.

I play in a rock band that specializes in Pink Floyd. I also play Christian rock at the church.
