I'm not sure about the whole "saved" process - from what I know, once you're saved you're forgiven of all past sins, right? Since, according to Christianity, humans are always sinning, how many times can someone be "saved"?

So if you're saved, any sins you commit afterward is automatically forgiven??

Paul: Thanks for the clarification. So you can be "forgiven" unlimitedly, saved upon death to ensure forgiveness.

Your sins can be forgiven any number of times, but you can be saved just once - at the moment of death. That's what the Bible tells us - "he who endures to the end, he SHALL be saved".

You, like so many others, keep looking at salvation like a business transaction. Are your friends and family just a business transaction?

How about a relationship instead? Sinners, saved by grace, don't want to sin any more. These are the ones that Christ has brought into the fold as adopted sons and daughters!

And this means that there is love for you there, not just at these little snapshot "saved" moments, but more like a loving Father seeing you from all eternity and giving you that spiritual "hug" from the Holy Spirit, that opens your eyes to the Truth and keeps you in the palm of His hand forever.

Don't rely on yourself. God is in charge of your life, as He has always been, and always will be.

Once, because no one can take you out of the hands of God and nothing can separate you from the love of God. Being saved does not mean you will never sin again. All your sins are forgiven but, that does not mean you will not face the consequences of your sins. God as a loving Father disciplines those he loves. Those who are not saved will be punished because Christ bore the punishment for those who are forgiven. You don't get away with sinning against God just because you are saved. We are saved from the penalty of sin because of our acceptance of the atonement of Christ.

Once you trust Christ, really trust and believe in Him,you are saved. I John 1:5 talks about how if we say we have no sin(after we are saved) we are liars and the truth is not in us.But Jesus is faithful and just to cleanse us from our sins.
It's like ,when we get saved ,we take a big ol' cleansing shower. Then we go back ,as we ask Him to forgive our daily sins and tresspasses and wash up every day.
Once Jesus has you,He will never let you go.He says so in John 10: 27-30.

No you have it wrong. One must be baptised, and accept Jesus Christ to be saved. Part of the salvation process is to seek forgiveness for your sins, one must also repent from those sins. If one sins again one must seek forgiveness again and repent again . Salvation is an on going process, not a one time thing of saying you believe in Christ. One must work on their salvation on a daily basis. Part of that process is to have a heartfelt , sincere, and meaningful relationship with Jesus

"As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8), but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

Heb 6:4-6
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
(KJV)

If you have accepted Jesus Christ then it is a once and for all deal. You either get Eternal Life, or you don't. Some believe you can lose your Salvation. Personally I think they are wrong. But let's just say that a person could actually lose that which they did not earn and do not keep themselves.

According to Hebrews 6, if you could lose it, then you could NEVER EVER get it back.

So the Bible teaches either - you are once saved, and always saved, or you are once saved, and if you lose it you have lost it forever.

The Bible never ever teaches in any place that a person can be saved, lose it, be saved again, and lose it again, on & on.

Heb 6:8
8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
(KJV)

2 Pet 2:22
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
(KJV)

In most cases people convinced themselves that by their own Will and Faith they were saved. In order to be saved God has to perform the miracle of forgiveness, write our names in the Book of Life, and fill us with the Holy Spirit as His Seal of Eternal Life.

Those who just went through the motions are described in 2 Peter 2:22 – their nature never changed.

Upon recieving salvation through Jesus Christ you are given the promise of eternal life, so why would you need salvation again? Jesus died for your sins past, present & future, but if we are born again we will confess our sin, repent & ask for forgiveness. The bible reads that if we repent & confess our sins He is faithfull & Just to forgive us our sins. God never starts something without finishing it. Caution christian under construction, God isn't done with me yet. Thank you Jesus!!!

God saved you in the future for all your sins(resentment) and it is written ONCE for all, past, present, and future. You are saved once and sealed with the Holy Spirit who abides with you forever. Do you think the Holy Spirit is going to spend eternity in hell? No He is not and He abides in you forever.
