me and my cousin were wrestling and she elbowed me in my nose really bad and like upwards. it started bleeding and it swelled up pretty bad. i instantly got a head ache. i took some ibuprofen and put an ice pack on it....and it still hurts!!! and i can breath good out of my last nostril....and it hurts to inhale too..... what could be wrong with it??? it hurts like hel*!!!! what should i do to make it feel better? it's pretty bad

Sweetie, it sounds like you have a fracture or break to the cartilage of your nose. My daughter had a broken nose. She has a small indentation with a knot above it because it was to high up to repair. Besides, recieving an upward blow to the nose can actually kill someone. It is a move taught in martial arts and in self defense classes.

I don't think a nose can be sprained, but you should definetily go see a doctor soon. It does sound like its broken or fractured esp. if it keeps on hurting and if you can actually see a change in the shape of your nose.

Noses can't be sprained. It sounds like you got your nose broken and should definitely see a doctor about it.

you've got a broken nose. get to a doctor or else you will end up with a boxers nose (i.e. a crooked witch nose)
