Maybe the dog killed an intruder cat while trying to protect it's owner.. So maybe HK is a celebratory tattoo as to say "One down". We used to keep tally of how many dogs, cats, birds, mice, rabbits, and other Vermin my rottweiler would kill on the brick fence we painted a silhouette of the victims species to keep count. She was a mountain dog so she killed any animal in the back yard.
I had to keep my Boston Terrier as a house dog for a long time or else the Rott would've eaten her like a hot dog.

I hate it when people do things like that. We take in strays and find them homes and we had this really sweet retriever. She was huge and someone had neglected her bad. I was brushing out all of the winter coat (this was the begining of summer, it was hot, she was matted) and some one had tattooed a stick figure on her belly. We thought it was marker at first, but we couldn't take it off when we bathed her. I think it was some scratcher in the neighborhood. The dog was so sweet and I felt so bad about what she must have went through. She was down to 30 pounds, but now she lives with one of my dads friends in the country and she weighs over twice what she did when we found her. It's a horrible story with a happy ending. I hope that tattooo is fake.

I personally don't even like having my dog tattooed for identification purposes, but it has to be done. Having Hello Kitty tattooed on an animal is ludicrous. Why would you unnecessarily subject an animal to pain? Poor thing.

Cruel in many ways, as it does nothing good for the animal and just provides a little entertainment for the owner or person doing it. Some people are plain stupid.

Some girl tried to tell me that it was OK for her to have her dog tattooed ,because,She lived on a farm.Apparently she would confuse her dog with her neighbors dog.
Some people make me sick!

That is just messed up. I hope for that poor dog's sake that is a temporary tattoo. I would never do that to my poor dog.

I have to agree w/ you and I have never seen anyone do this to an animal it is absolutely horrific. I have however seen people give their dogs piercings.

its your decision to tattoo yourself. but its definatly animal cruelty wehn you tattoo your dog. thats sooo wrong. it make me so made that they wouldnt even think of the dog when they do that.

thats horrible.. I'm all for tattoos but how dare someone do that to an animal. i consider this animal abuse. what an idiot this person is
