For the past four days I've been having terrible chest pains. My chest feels congested and I feel as if I can't breathe. I've gone to the doctors twice since Tuesday, and they can't seem to figure out what's wrong with me. I had an ECG done and it came back normal. My blood pressure and cholesterol are normal too.

When I was at the doctors last I forgot to tell them that that about a week before I had chest pains, I was having very bad cramps and was running to the bathroom at least twice a day. I still am. And I've never really replaced the water I've lost.

I looked up symptoms of dehydration tonight and everything I seem to be feeling matches up exactly. It said that if I was having difficulty breathing and having chest pains I should seek help immediately. What should I do? Doctors offices are closed now. Should I go to the hospital? Wait until morning? I've already had pains in my chest for days.

I don't have diabetes.

If I decide to go to the hospital is there anything they could do to help?!

Go to the hospital and tell them to put you on IV fluids. I had mono and was severely dehydrated, chest pains and everything and that is what they did.. I felt much better. (i also had a severe case of mono but we are talking about dehydration)

If you let this go on much longer, you could die. Yahoo answers is not an appropriate melieu for deciding whether or not to go to the hospital in a dangerous situation.

You also may want to consider the possibility of a hiatal hernia as the cause of your symptoms.

Best wishes and good luck.
