if its meant to be then it wont fall into the platonic friends category. I mean you can always try to keep things interesting but it takes 2 so you both have to work at the relationship and people do tend to fall out of love with one another it just happens for some. if you were only meant to be friends then thats all you will be you cannot force a relationship to beome more than what its meant to be.if youre both willing for it to stay more than friends than thats fine. but if one doesnt then theres nothing you can do but deal with it and go on with life. sometimes you have to be friends first then go from there.

LOOK HER/HIM IN THE EYE AND SAY "LETS NOT RUIN A GOOD FRIENSHIP" You are my good ( Be really sensative if it is your best friend) friend and I would hope that you will be for the rest of our life, but I have yet to meet a girl/boy, who makes me say "Ya That Be One".

If you can not handle this, we should be apart, so that I won't hurt you even unknowingly. And It would hurt me to hurt a friend. If they love and respect you as they say, they will stick to their boundries.
