on valentines day i was thinking of sending my crush a rose (im in 10th grade)
is that a good idea? why or why not?
should i write my name? should i add anything else?
and since im too shy to go up to him and tell him it's me who sent it, i was thinking of writing my screen name for AIM on it so we can talk on AIM a bit and "get to know each other" and then when im ready i can tell him.........is that weird or a good idea?

Yes thats a very nice idea. On the note you could even write a little poem. You should write it youself becuase thats comming from your heart, not someone elses, but if you cant there are plenty of websites with great poems. The screen name thing is a good idea too but also you should give a phone number because you cant base a relationship on aim conversations.

screen name is a pretty good idea
he will be intrigued to know who you are
you will get a chance to talk to him
since you are shy you wont have to worry abotu rejection
then before you tell him who you are maybe he will like you
course when you finally do tell him , well you get to decide later IF you even want to do that depending on how it goes.

just remember if you think that maybe you wont tell who you are, dont give a screen name that a lot of people know already, if you do make sure your friends know what your doing so they can keep your secret.

it could be fun and you got almost nothing to lose.
im a guy an i dont agree with those others- your in 10th grade its reasonable to start dating anyways

Valentine's Day is still 3 months away. Why not gather up some courage now and just tell him? In high school time, three months may as well be three years. Chances are he'll find someone or you'll change your mind. Either do something now or forget about it.

I'm a 30 year old woman....Not a guy. But, let me help you! Valentine's day is months away so why don't you just let him know now. 15 years ago I was in your shoes and I really wish I just let the boy know sooner....He starting dating someone else! Oh I was so crushed by my crush! Let him know sweetie, you'll be fine. Good Luck!

it a creative idea but he might get annoyed. i mean, i guess it depends on what kind of person he is. if he is impatant, he might rather not take the time to for this. besides, your better safe than sorry. id just recomend formaly asking him becaus the worst thing he can say is no. or another good idea is putting your phone number on the rose.

I don't know, but let me tell you what I did in grade 8 (!).
I liked this guy and kept sending him chocolates and stuff and cos i obsessed too much he wasn't interested and was heaps scared of me. I took every step too quickly and blew it.
Take things slowly.

Don't mess with the poor guy's head. Put your name on the card if you're too shy to do it in person.
