Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Brittney Spears. None of them are doing jail time like the average citizen would have to do. And then they want us to respect the law. I havent seen a celeb do serious time even though the evidence is overwhelming. Bet they dont let O.J. off. They need to stay on these pretty girls like they do O.J. I guess its ok for me to go out and drink and drive if theyre only giving out minutes of jail time. Overcrowding was the excuse. What a joke. I have no respect for the law anymore because there is no equality in it. They can also hit you with tazers whenever they feel like it. Dont try to deny it police officers, its all over the news. Bring back the 10 percent that were good cops!

Like the other guy said....Money my man money.

Why do you think that the symbol for American Justice is a blindfolded hooker (Just look at the dress!) holding a set of money scales????

Just put the money in the scales and your all even!!!!She never saw a thing!!!

Law Enforcement Officers don't let them go, my ignorant friend. The judicial system let's them off. All a law enforcement officer can do is catch them and tell the judicial system what they did. You should read a little more and not get all your information from Entertainment Tonight.

Before you say something stupid, corrections is not law enforcement.

You are correct, the law is not fair. It is especially hard on the stupid. Every Tazer incident in the news recently were precisely correct actions by the officers. People who think they were not correct know nothing about law enforcement and the rules of engagement with some knucklehead with an ax to grind.

There is absolutely no reason for the officer to make physical contact with someone who is breaking the law and threatening others. The only bad part about the Tazer is that officers don't use their guns enough on some dirt bag that richly deserves a .40 cal round right between the running lights.

So you go right on pooping on the police. And the next time you have a real problem call you good buddy homie to protect you.

Unfortunately, my friend, the stars are not serving any more or any less time than the average citizen for comparable crimes. We just want to believe they're getting less time than the average citizen because it scares us to death that nobody upon nobody is seeing any consequences to such reckless actions.

I'm telling you, it's going to lead to a lawless society if people keep getting away with drunk driving, drugging, raping and in some cases, literally murder.

Sorry, but if you think the stars are getting star treatment, it just ain't true. Look up what the average citizen gets for the same crime and you'll find out I'm right. Quite candidly, I wish I were wrong.

That's an admirable goal but this has been tried many times before and the question always gets deleted. I'll give you a star anyway. A bit of trivia for you: Hilary Clinton asked a question in Yahoo! Answers about a year ago and she received nearly 5,000 stars. Good luck!

It's NOT law enforcement, It's the Judicial System, which are two different branches of Gov't. My 8 yo daughter, just got finished learning this in 3rd grade!!!

Paris Hilton served her time in jail. Also, media covers these issues and puts it out there for everybody to hear and its not necessarily the police that handle whether they serve jail time or not, it the judges and jury in court.

The penalty of the crimes has nothing to do with police. The penalties are determined by judges. Your argument just makes it sound like you are bitter for getting arrested for something.

Sorry to tell you this, most of the time the average Joe gets less or about the same as these stars got...

The cops just arrest them. The lawyers and prosecuting attorneys make the stupid deals. And more smart@sses need tasered. Respect the cops.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The police do NOT sentence people who are arrested...Judges do that! The police just arrest them. If they are not being sent to jail it is because the judges are not sentencing them to jail!

Get it straight!
