Because I asked many times for a concrete proof and nobody gave me a satisfactory answer?
If you cannot prove the existence of God then what is the point in believing?
I can pretend that I believe in Santa Claus but that does not make him real. There is no Santa and there is no God. Period.

First of all, of course God isn't going to prove that he exists. Our existence on earth is a test. Part of that test is having faith. If you KNEW God existed you wouldn't need to have faith. (Faith: believing in things unseen but true) Why is that important? Because we have to make our own choices, and if everyone knew without a doubt that God exists there would be no choice in the matter.

But honestly, for concrete proof, take a look around you. How many other planets do you know that are exactly the distance from the sun so as to have an atmosphere, water, vegetation, and life? Last time I checked that wasn't a very common occurrence. All the plants, animals, and everything on the earth testifies there is a God. And all I have to say about evolution is: Why haven't humans evolved any since that theory? And why are there still monkeys?

"Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator." - Alma 30:44

Not only is there a God, but there is a purpose for life and a plan to help us understand why we're here and where we're going. If you're truly wondering about God, you could research different religions. You could try praying to Him. He's doesn't always answer how you expect, or want, but you can feel his love and comfort through the Holy Ghost. Why not go to the source? Ask Him if He exists.

I am partial to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You should take some time to really check it out. Go to: mormon.org and click on Basic Beliefs.

Good Luck and God Bless :)

You can neither prove nor disprove God's existence. It's what I like to think of as a dark argument. There is no "proof" either way, so the best conclusion you can say with that is that we don't know.

I, however, do believe in God because of the rationality of the Bible. In short, it just makes sense and its accuracy has consistently been confirmed. If more people could love each other and follow the guidelines, rules, and laws in the Bible and study it, I think the world would be a better place. That's my reasoning in a nutshell.

For a sceptic like you, there probably will be no concrete proof. You will dismiss all references of religious texts and refuse to accept anything.

I believe in God because I see that:

a) evolution is not science. The main point of evolution is that we somehow gained genetic information that came from no where. That does no sound plausible to me. I can accept natural selection and downhill mutations because they show a loss of information which is compatible with my belief that we are living in a decaying world. But, I cannot accept downhill mutations OR natural selections as proof of evolution.

b) The Bible is the most historical accurate book in the bible. We have to understand that when we talk about historical science, there's a limit to what we can test. However, parts of the bible have shown to be scientifically advanced for that time period. E.g in the book of Job. It is written that an animal fitting the description of a dinosaur. It was stated that God hanged the earth on nothingness. A person of that time peroid should not have known that the earth was suspended in space.

There are plenty of examples. It just depends on YOU on how you want to interprete it.

The point in believing is faith that there is ultimate truth, ultimate love, and ultimate justice. Do you believe that certain things are right and certain things are wrong? In human nature, where did this concept originate?

The keyword for a religious believer is faith. Believing in God is a matter of faith, not logic. No, I cannot prove to you in a concrete physical manner that God exists. History, however, is full of the fruits of the faith of religious people.

When you enjoy an apple, is it required that you see the tree from which it came? Yet you are certain that the tree exists. Faith is believing in something that you cannot prove. Otherwise Christians would be called "people of logic," and not "people of faith." It's also what drives us to do incredible amounts of good in the world despite limited resources, constant attacks from within and without, and our own immeasurable faults.

If there is no God, there is no ultimate justice. History's most notorious figures get a "Get Out of Jail Free" card, and we all slip into nothingness when we die. I can't imagine a more depressing thought that our life and work are meaningless, and that the incredible beauty of humanity's art, music and culture are worthless.

My question is, "What does a non-believer hope for?"

When I was growing up, I had a dilemma. I new there was something bigger than me, more than what I saw. One day, I finally "got it".

I had tried different churches prior to that. I tried to get saved and I didn't feel anything.

Let me just say this; there is a God and Jesus was sent down and died for our sins so that we might be able to be next to God. This is blind faith! The only thing that you can do to know for-sure is how you feel.

Do you believe in evil? Do you believe there is a hell? If so, then you also believe in God.

You have free will, God gave us all that choice for a reason. It is up to each of us to find God, as he does not have to prove anything to us.

One more thing, what if you died tomorrow and there is a God. What would you say to him? "Oh, so you do exist, sorry man nobody gave me a satisfactory answer so I didn't believe in you."

I guess that's the point of believing.

Why do you guys think we give a crap about what you think. You want proof of God? Everything in this worlds fits perfectly. You can be Id with both your blood and your finger prints why? Well it sure helps a Criminal Investigation and no other animal has it. Plus you loose your fingerprints though break. you loose your blood a friend or family can save you by giving you some of his/her blood. Now isn't that just lucky? Here is something Once you die your body will help this earth in a process many call the Circle of life. A perfect natural circle that if not interrupted gives your mortal remains a purpose. WOW now that's just pure luck that everything natural fits. Ain't we lucky!? And when incredible reptilians were interrupting the growth of mammals guess what? they were turn to birds with a completely lucky for us process called evolution. Here is something that doesn't makes sense: JERKS WHO ARE ARROGANT ENOUGH TO BELIEVE THEY HAVE THE UNIVERSE ALL FIGURED OUT. Jeez at least agnostics are Smart enough to throw a maybe Into the equation.

You are so wrong. Reading God's word daily and prayers will direct you and show you His plan.

No matter how many times you may ask this question, you are going to get your same answer, WHY?

Because until you repent of your sins, then God will come into your heart and you are never the same again. WHY?

Because His Holy Spirit lives within us, and He will give you the proof. I can't nor anyone else can make you believe, if we did then it would not be a real relationship.

How do you think you got here on earth? Who do you think created all of earth?

Read: Revelation Chapters & twenty-one and twenty-two and tell me there is no God or no Heaven.

Pretty true, there's no real proof that he does exist but there is also no proof that he doesn't exist. It really up to ourselves to choose to believe or not to believe. There is no cconcrete proof but there has been events that has caught the worlds attention about people seeing Mary, statue of God bleeding etc.....I do believe in God, I mean the story of how he created Earth sounds true, the other stories sound true...I mean there must be someone who created earth, there are reasons behind everything.....o yeah and Santa does exist. =)

I say that GOD does exist.
People don't have the answers. The bible and God has the answers. The point in believing is that it is the truth and the fact is that if you don't, you will spend eternal life in hell. Although God can not be physically proven, does not mean that you can't and shouldnt have faith in him. You can go and pretend to believe in Santa, but the difference is that he can be proven not real. There is no Santa, and there is God. Have some faith. Before you assume things to not be true becasue you cannot see them with your eyes, give it a chance.

Look around you, if you don't believe, no one can help you except our Lord. That's what Faith is about. Believing. It is much easier to take the wide gate. But Beware!

Enter ye in at the strait gait: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many that be that goeth thereat:
Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

I will pray that you find God and except Jesus Christ as your Savior.
