It happens, but it's infrequent in comparison to movement in the other direction.
As long as the standard in America is "You should raise your kids in a church" I think the net movement will always be from theism to atheism.

Of course. I dont know of the statistics or the comparative numbers but of course it does occur. There may be a life-changing event and the person may find some comfort in religion or they may perceive their life as empty or without a cause etc. They may have just done alot of research and decided religion was for them. There can be many reasons and yes there are atheists who become religious.
I am simply providing reasons that people ask of me as an atheist, like do I not need the comfort of a deity to feel happy etc.? (No is the answer).

Don't know, but I prefer to remain neutral in my beliefs, leaving any possibility open to truth. does that make me atheist? Guess I better go ask a question of my Own first lol.
Cuz I don't believe in anything unless it's truly verified in front of me. Otherwise I leave open all possiblilties. Guess I don't have a specific 'religion". But I don't think that should label me as anything either.
I just read recently that athesists Do believe in God, but that they believe God is in all of us, and all things, and not just One Being.

Yea Christians that go off their medication do. If you don't understand that while they are on their anti-psychotics they are sane enough to be atheists but they stop using their meds and become Christians.

that would be a hell of a leap lol pun intended. as atheist do not believe in god or hell to suddenly believe it, perhaps you stop in the middle and try a more eclectic path instead, of course read up on all religions to make an informed decision before you commit to any religion.

Yes there have been some. One atheist started studying and researching the Bible in an effort to disprove it. He ended up coming to the conclusion that it was true and converting to Christianity.

I always hear lots of unsourced anecdotes (see Berry123's answer about the anonymous atheist studying the bible), but very few specific, verifiable cases named.

not anyone with a brain. you might almost die in a car accident and prey or is it pray that it will not happen again. let me just have a play on words again. prey pray. why do they sound so alike is it that people that pray or the ones the church prey on because they do not know what to do with themselves. i believe there is a God but you can not prove it, until then call me agnostic.

yeah..u shud check this book out "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel....i haven't read it yet..but i've heard how he was very very skeptical of the christian beliefs and everything...and so he starts doing some research....i dont know the whole story..but this guy excepts Christ in the end...its cool
and yah there are plenty of muslims coming to Christ...but they can't be so open about their faith..because they might get killled by their crazy family members...it does happen in countries like pakistan...
