In all honesty, I can't say I'm respectful of all believers, rather I am tolerant of other's beliefs.

i do and its pretty simple in a way. all beliefs(except atheism) mirror some principle of christianity. some parts are right and some off base. but there are similarities. but i dont judge them by that. i am not here to force my religion on anyone. and i feel that even atheists have freedom to believe what they do. i may not agree with them but i respect them for their beliefs and am willing to offer any answers to any questions they might have.

I hope I respect the believers, if not the beliefs.

No. I find it hard to respect grown adults who believe in fairy tales. To me, it says that they are willing to deceive themselves for the sake of "spiritual" comfort, and I can't fully respect a mind which can deceive itself willingly. They tell themselves lies; how can I know what about them is real?

Yes God teaches Muslims to tolerate people of other religions. Because it is not our responsibility and concern if they are worshipping other than God e.g. worshipping idols.

This is how God teaches Muslims tolerance towards unbelievers in Islam in the following Surah of Quran 109. Surah Al-Kafirun (The Unbelievers)

. Say (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him) to these Mushrikun and Kafirun): "O Al-Kafirun (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, in His Angels, in His Books, in His Messengers, in the Day of Resurrection, and in Al-Qadar.)!

2. "I worship not that which you worship,

3. "Nor will you worship that which I worship.

4. "And I shall not worship that which you are worshipping.

5. "Nor will you worship that which I worship.

6. "To you be your religion, and to me my religion (Islamic Monotheism)."

When Muslims had their Empire of Faith, Christians, Jews and Hindus were protected as minority and never any Muslims is allowed by God or the govenment to force a non-Muslim to convert as Muslim. If any one says he was forced he lies. Many Syrians and Iraqis lie making such statements to get immigration visa for USA for better life and not that they are being persecuted.

Yes. But only honest beliefs. The idea of faith is dishonest. The idea that the bible is the only book is dishonest. These are for people who would lie to themselves.

No I don't and don't try to be. I do try to be respectful of all people unless they have given me a reason to be otherwise.
