I'm short only 5"6 like Rey mysterio lol,I'm black,skinny 170 lbs,and I look somewhat like eazy-e,And I'm proud of being short,Y'know shorties are always faster ;),but people are always making fun of me and bringin me down,Is being short a curse?

If you are proud of being short, you should ignore whatever people say that try to put you down. People who put you down are insecure in some way that they feel the need to make you feel bad.
have you imagine what it would be like if your pinky was the same height as your other fingers? or the thumb? The hands wouldn't be very functionable.
We are who we are for a purpose. Like you said, shorties are faster. Perhaps you are short because you are meant to be fast.
I am short myself and i have felt your pain before. i dreaded being short and tried everything to make myself taller. All has failed until i finally decided to accept myself for who i am.
And remember people can only bring you down if you let them.

no. being short is awesome. I'm 5'1" and i'm not growing much. I think being short has its disadvantages of course, like not being able to reach the top shelf sometimes. But you can always ask for help. And you don't have to worry about the other sex being shorter than you, so you don't have to bend down =D
Although, 5'6" isn't that short, it's probably medium height for the average person. Most of my friends are that tall or taller, closer to 5'7".
But don't think that being short is a curse. You aren't short, you're pettite =]
So forget what other people are saying because they think that being tall is amazing, while to us it may seem a 'curse'. I think short is amazing, but i have nothing against tall either

Your not short your tall next to me i,m 5'2 & 130 pounds but have the Biggest b*** s that U ever did see . It's about Heart , Respect , Confidence & so on . Yes you will always have taller peaple look down at you but the thing is not listin to them it's not really not about how tall one is but how much money one has & leadership skills . Keep your head up , Look them in the Eye & mean what you say . Life is about Respect , Good Luck my freind 5'6 your tall Not a curse it's what you make of it . God Bless !!

"The truth is, it is the short people that make the tall people tall. If it wasn't for us everyone would be just be the same height and others would get no credit for being tall ;)" that made me laugh :P yeah i'm quite short too and my friend uses me as an arm rest. but still! I like being small :D Luckily for me I don't get bullied because most of the people I know are small too! :D

I would firmly and clearly let these people know they are way out of line with this train of thought. Then I'd steer clear of those types, they drag good people down. Keep friendships with people who support you, value who you are.
I am 5'2" and have had people say they thought I was taller because I have such a "big" personality, quite a compliment.
I have always said, good things come in small packages!

Is your mind 5'6? Is your enthusiasm for life 5'6? Is your brilliance and energy 5'6? Forget those that make fun of you. Do something extraordinary in your life and you will never be known as the short guy.

i'm 5'2.. so you're still tall to me..
but hey.. look at it this way.. being short means we don't have to duck under most things like tall people.. and we're natural limbo champions.. nor do we hit our head off of doorways..
continue to be proud and don't listen to anyone who says any different..

Hey your call that short! I'm 5'1" so I think you are tall. It's how you perceive things. My youngest daughter is about your height and most of her friends are quite tall. They all call my partner, my other daughter and me hobbits! All I can say to that is I haven't got big wide hairy feet. LOL!!!

Not really. I'm 5'4, and 110 lbs, but then again, If I was about 5'8 I could easily do a slam dunk. Yeap, I got hops.

whats wrong with being short? NOTHING. acctually it's pretty cool, like the world is full of tall people.... and short people acctually. hight's no big deal.
