I think that the anti-Iraq War protest is working slowly. The american administration is more aware now than before. This is not only because of the death toll but also because it was a big mistake. England and USA know perfectly that they lied to the people. the excuse they have now is the word ASSUME, they assumed that SADDAM HUSSAIN was threatening the west, they invented the story that an attack was inminent in 45 minutes. IRAQ didn't have any weapons of mass destruction. USA and ENGLAND got rid of the inspectors because they just didn't say what they wanted to hear. So there are quite a few factors to take into account and many more that I haven't mentioned. So I believe that these protests are working slowly.

Obama promised troop withdrawal from Iraq, and has given us a timetable for withdrawal. that's why people are not protesting anymore. Hillary Clinton lost the Dem standard by using fact she initially supported the conflict. @McDonald's vet: decrease the bullshit. Iraq in no way attacked america. Japan *did* (for the duration of WWII). no one adverse the conflict in Afghanistan. those protesters adverse the conflict in IRAQ. Get your info promptly, republitard. @Fido fairly the media became overwhelmingly in want of the conflict. complaint of the Bush administration merely began to trickle into the media in 2005, 2 years after the conflict began, and no WMD have been chanced on. remember, america initially went to conflict by using fact the Bush adminstration claimed it had info that Saddam Hussein had WMD. for sure, that became a lie, and that they've been referred to as out for it. different than on Fox information, of direction. a lot of Democrats additionally initially supported the conflict; they now say that they have been lie to by ability of the Bush administration. Many Republicans might desire to experience the comparable way, yet they would not in any respect brazenly criticize somebody from their very very own political party.

No. And its failure is due, in part, to the protestors not knowing the reasons for our military operations in Iraq. The reasons were contained in Public Law #107-243, which was enacted in 2002. There's scant mention of the WMD issue in that law. A link to that law is contained below. And the reason for our being there to gain access to Iraqi oil is a non-starter as well. 85% of that oil production is currently under contract to Compagnie Petrol De Francais, a French firm. Their empathy and concern for Americans killed in that theater of operations is also suspect, given that 7,500 members of the armed forces died on active duty during the eight years of the previous administration and that 9,555 died between 1980 and 1984.
Most Americans haven't changed their view on our involvement in Iraq. The polls which indicate that are heavily weighted in terms of population distribution. So, a majority of respondents come from within the Boston-
Washington and San Francisco-San Diego populations belts.
As to the issue of the indefinite stay, I don't understand this term of "exit strategy". No such theory of the military art existed in World Wars One or Two. Korea was a Peace Enforcement Mission organized under Chapter Seven of the UN Charter where the forces were to restore the state of things which existed before North Korea invaded South Korea. Unfortunately General MacArthur could not comprehend those orders and the conflict was widened to a point where only a truce could be obtained, with continued presence of U.S. forces in South Korea. The Hammer and Sickle flag of the Soviet Union was lowered from the Kremlin flag post on December 24, 1991. Yet, we still have considerable concentrations of forces in a now-unified Germany to face a non-existent USSR and Warsaw Pact nations (some of whom now belong to NATO). Yet, not one word about "exit strategy" there.
In short, the reason for their protest is disjointed at best and as ephemeral as a leaf in the wind. It has only one real basis. That is an abiding, visceral hatred of George Walker
Bush.

If any anti-war protest ever worked, it would be banned.
The 2003 War on Iraq was the ONLY war in modern history that was protested worldwide, even in ANTARCTICA! It counted for nothing since Bush is essentially a Tyrant and has full support of Legislative and Judicial branches.

Politicians pay attention to protest.
If you believe in the system then they probably pay attention because their constituents have a concern and their job is to represent these people.
If your jaded as I am then it is because they know what happened to the French aristocracy when they ignored protesting peasants for too long. There isn't a French aristocracy anymore.

I dont think that it has worked, but it seems like it has.
They are only protesting because they think that all wars are bad and the deaths and things like that.
I honestly think that this war is a good thing because those people had no freedoms and the leaders were killing the people with nerve gases. Killing family members in front of them.. When we invaded the people were able to gain freedom. Now we just have to get the Iraqi army tp prepare to take over for the US.
This war is also fighting to perserve are liberties and our freedoms in the future

All protests or comments making the news work. Unfortunately, they are getting people killed, injured and prolong the war.

It has more to do with costs and the fact that we could have been out of there already if Bush had listened to the majority of his military advisers instead of the few that he did listen to.
Even now, I could guarantee a success and withdrawal within 6 months if he would simply follow the advise many people have given.

Yes it has been working. Politicians are pandering to the demands of those who want us to surrender to terrorists.
Maybe George Soros will buy us all a prayer rug so we may pretend to embrace islam. The religion of cut and run doesn't understand our enemy wants to destroy our society.
