For starters, get real. Your options are limited. There are laws governing the minimum age for hiring minors and the number of hours that they can work. That's why most 13 year olds babysit or take similar jobs. That's what is available to them.

There is nothing wrong with starting out by babysitting or hiring yourself out around the neighborhood to do odd jobs. It shows that you're ambitious and entrepreneurial. That will look good to prospective employers when you're old enough to get hired by a real business. I started out that way when I was younger than you and made some pretty good money. Once I was 16, I was able to get a job at a local store.

If you want to impress a business enough to be hired at a good wage, learn how to communicate intelligently and maturely. No prospective employer is going to be impressed with someone who writes illiterately and sounds immature.

LB,

Bless you, if that's what your "job troubles" are hun! Be very glad that you dont have to get a Real Job yet.

You might have heard this one before, but maybe mowing lawns, pet sitting, working with the YMCA, your church, your local community center or swim club? Lots of older people can't shovel their own walkways, to get to their mailboxes in the winter. You could try working with a local Red Cross, or church to help deliver warm clothes or food to older people.

There's lots of way you can help.

PS- I never wanted to babysit either lol.

First get your parents involved, they know people, and work your neighborhood.
Shoveling snow, cutting grass, cleaning garages and basements, washing cars, doing errands for the elderly, collecting aluminum cans, brass, copper etc. Look around you and see what type of service needs to be done in your area, and fulfill that need. Good luck

Your age legally makes you hard to employ. That's why people keep suggesting things like that to you.

Sorry, but things of that nature are your best options, that's why they keep suggesting those things.
