If you earn less than $5,350 (in 2007) you'll get all of the Federal income tax back. Your state probably has a lower threshhold for taxes so the state will probably keep some of whatever was withheld for State income tax.
Everyone pays Social Security and Medicare taxes on their earned income. You never get that refunded.

I think that you can opt to have no federal or state taxes taken out. Then when tax time comes around you may be screwed & have to pay some money back in.
A few years ago I called & talked to someone about my tax return... I was told to write "low income exemption" on my form & I got all of my money back from the state. It really depends on how much you make though.
It's not horrible to pay in all year and then get a big chunk back.
When you're filling out your paperwork for your job ask your employer what you should put down for your exemptions. It will most likely be 1 or 0.
Hope you save some $$$

Not what's taken out for social security and medicare. Depending on how much you make for the year, you might get some or all of what's taken out for income tax.

You will probably get part of the state and federal taxes back. Social Security and Medicare you never get back.

the place can unlawful immigrants get a loose college training? they are not eligible for federal help and maximum states won't provide them state help the two. they might in straightforward terms get inner maximum scholarships in maximum places. i think of you're incorrect (yet while no longer, enable me understand the place it is achieveable). i do no longer think of unlawful immigrants could get a loose training or any variety of government help/information yet i do no longer likely have a concern with them getting inner maximum scholarships or paying their very own way with the aid of college.
