When I saw my crush afterschool, he asked if I wanted a smore, because he made them in chem. I took one (he had two), and told him I had made them earlier that day too, because I had the same teacher at a different time. He said, "Oh, so you're taking advantage of my generosity." I didn't really know what to say, so I said, "But you offered me one. I thought you knew I had (teacher's name)."

I would probably have tried to give it back to him, but I had already bitten into it. I don't remember exactly what happened afterward, but he asked when I had chem at some point in the 2-minute conversation we had while walking downstairs.

What's he thinking? A friend told me he might have been joking, but I couldn't really tell. He's really generous- to everyone- and it didn't occur to me that he would mind that I took one when I already made some of my own hours ago.

I don't think he said it to be snippy, but out of honesty. I feel like a jerk, but I don't know what to do about it.

Any ideas (other than I am totally overreacting, or that he was)? Should I call him and be honest and say his comment hurt me? How do I convince him I actually do have morals?

It really sounds to me like he was trying to make conversation with you. Next time, say to him "well you can share my smores with me when I make them the next time," or something like that.
